Clinical Informatics Specialist
Summary:
Join our team as a Senior Healthcare IT Specialist to support digital health transformation through technology-driven process improvements. This role focuses on enhancing clinical workflows, infection prevention programs, and healthcare IT training within acute care settings. You will collaborate with stakeholders to implement Allscripts solutions, conduct privacy impact assessments, and develop training programs for clinical users. Ideal candidates have 10+ years of experience in healthcare change management, business process analysis, and IT implementation. PRINCE2 and Prosci Change Management certifications are required. This position plays a key role in advancing healthcare IT, ensuring compliance, and optimizing patient care delivery.
 
 
Project Description:
Digital Health, a Shared Health service, will facilitate the improvement and enablement of
healthcare delivery transformation through the use of information and communication
technology. The focus is to provide efficient, effective information management and
communication technology processes across the provincial health sector.

1. Degree or Diploma in healthcare informatics or a healthcare discipline. Proof of the degree
or diploma shall be provided with the response
2. Valid PRINCE2 Foundation or higher certification. Proof of the certification shall be provided
with the response.
3. Valid Prosci Change Management Certification. Proof of the certification shall be provided
with the response.
Skill and Experience
1. 10 years’ experience working with stakeholders in a healthcare environment to implement
changes to clinical workflow. Examples should include implementation and training of
business process changes. The response should include at least 3 examples including
duration of the project or work that total at least 10 years.
2. 10 years’ experience working with stakeholders to elicit and document requirements and
develop them into specifications or business process solutions. The response should
include at least 3 examples including duration of the project or work that total at least 10
years
3. 5 years’ experience evaluating, developing, and implementing programs relating to infection
prevention and control within an acute care setting. The response should include at least 2
examples including duration of the project or work that total at least 5 years.
4. 5 years’ experience developing and delivering training for information systems to clinical
users including nurses and physicians. The response should include at least 2 examples
including duration of the project or work that total at least 5 years
5. 5 years’ experience implementing the Allscripts suite of products in an acute care setting.
The response should include at least 2 examples including duration of the project or work
that total at least 5 years.
6. 3 years’ experience conducting and compiling privacy impact assessments for healthcare
record systems to assess their compliance with provincial regulations. The response should
include at least 1 example including duration of the project or work that totals at least 3
years
